Welcome a New Blogging Buddy..

Ashley was feeling a little under the weather today, so she missed school. We slept in, played Mario Kart (our new obsession!) and started her a blog. She has been wanting to start on for a long time. I will monitor it closely, and I'm sure the new will wear off real soon. Check out her blog at the Horse Lover link.

I Finally Had A Date...

Doesn't that sound sad? But as any married couple with kids know that you cherish your time with your spouse alone, because it doesn't happen very often. Me and Henry almost always have both kids and if we don't have Charlie we usually have Ashley tagging along to a movie etc.

Last night we decided to go to the movies just US! We went and saw Marley and Me. (I know it has been out for a month already:)..) UGH!! The SADDEST movie I have seen since The Passion Of The Christ. Now don't get me wrong...I loved the movie though. I went in expecting to tear up..........NOT bawl like a little baby!! Lord it was tough.

If you haven't seen it, take my advise and take a box of tissue or just a bath towel. You'll NEED it.

Mess Pot

This is what I found this morning when I walked into the Bathroom. I was on the computer which is just 2 steps away and could hear Charlie messing with something. We have a child friendly home, so I knew what ever it was it was safe. We do keep medicine and chemicals locked up!!!! I found that the toilet paper bandit had invaded our stock of Sam's toilet paper and made off with one 4 pack. I luckily found the culprit just in time before he made off with a coveted 4 pack of booty tissue. He tried to run, but I caught him just in time. Sneaky sneaky little dude.

BTY--charlie is going to the doctor this am regarding his little problem. I'll hapefully have some answers soon.

From Baby Boy to Big Boy....

Charlie did soooo great getting his first haircut today. We took him to Sports Clips and really thought that we had made a mistake after waiting for a few minutes in the waiting area. He was running, throwing balls and screaming. I thought for sure that we would have to leave there with the same "rats nest" that we came with. But we put him in the chair and a new Charlie came out. He did VERY well. He went in looking like a baby and left looking all too grown up. Tears filled my eyes as we left. He's growing sooo fast, and I will never take another child to get their first haircut again!!!!

First Belt Test

Friday Night Ashley had her first belt test in BJJ. She has advanced to a "High White Belt". She has many months/years to go to be a black belt, but she is learning to fight. Can't wait to put Charlie in it in a couple of years.

Bad Hair Day.....

This is what happens when Charlie goes to bed with wet hair!!!! Can anyone say SMOOTHING GEL????

Sad story

I've been addicted to this new blog that I found through my SIL, Jerilynn's blog. The link to her blog is the Pray for Harper square. Check out her blog to read her story of the joy of expecting a sweet daughter and the illness of their sweet baby that was born yesterday. Their story is very touching and the people that are surfing her blog are in the tens of thousand daily. Pray for this sweet baby and for her precious family.

A little case of OCD......

Ok anyone who knows me even just a little knows I'm In Love With DISNEY WORLD. I've been there 2 times in my life and I DREAM of going back literally every day. (That is where the OCD comes in!!!) I look it up on the Internet and picture me, Henry, Ashley and Charlie walking through those metal gates waiting for them to drop the ropes and say "HAVE A MAGICAL DAY". It truly is Magic there. It makes me feel like a kid again, stepping into a fairy tale without a care in the world. (EXCEPT for where we are going to eat!!!....the food there is HEAVENLY and there is tons of it.)

Well, My dad called me the other night and gave me Disney Fever again. Thanks alot DAD! He and my Mom were looking at our pics from the last trip that Me, Ashley, and my MOM took in 2005. My Dad really wants to go one of these days.

Henry and I are determined to take our family in 2010 with the help of a little UNCLE SAM. We have decided to start saving and planning now and taking the plunge in about a year. I'm ready to take on the "difficult" job of planning it. I'm sure we will get the help from a travel agent. But I'm already getting my feel for different meals to meet characters that would interest both my kids. Charlie will love it and Ashley will tooo.

So with all that said. You can think I'm a little crazy or what ever, but we'll be in the sun shine state before you know it. I'm counting down the months...days...hours....now that is OCD

Charlie's new Obsession

Who knew he would love suckers like he does. I tried to get him doing what he was doing last night, but of coarse he wouldn't. Last night his face was soooooo stinking funny. This is pretty cute too and what a mess he makes.

I really love using these Smilebox slide shows when I have more than just a few pics that I want to share. They are really fun to make. I hope all my 2 loyal readers out there don't get tired of the Smilebox slide shows, but hey what can I say!!!

We're Addicted.....

My family is addicted to the Wii that Santa brought. We don't have a huge library of games yet, but our favorite game is the one that came with it. Wii sports. Golf and boxing are Henry's fav. Tennis and bowling are Ashley's fav. I think my fav. is bowling too. We have bowling tournaments almost nightly, and now Henry likes to challenge Ashley to boxing and "make her BLEED". OK.....!!!! I will say this, you can get a little work out on some of these games. I find myself getting hot and somewhat feel like I'm working out! What a GREAT invention.

Ashley's room Makeover

We Finally did it. We finally painted Ashley's room. It kinda is a shocker walking in there. After living with flat cream colored wall since moving in here 20 mo. ago, we finally have a room with color. It has got me and Henry ready for more. Those of you who know me, know that I like color. Sooooooo.....with that said here is a look at Ashley's room. Please note that we are still not finished. We have shelving that Henry's dad built for us that will go around the top of the room. I also have to recover her cornice board and cover her headboard too. (Still waiting to find just the right material!) I also have hoarse pics that I need to frame to hang in various places. So, I guess you could say this room makeover is still in progress.

Happy Birthday Ashley

Well, today marks a milestone in my life. Yes, my baby girl has made it to the "double digits". She is turning the BIG 10 today. As usual I did get a little emotional today. It is always bitter-sweet. I'll NEVER have my little baby girl running through the house in footed pj's wanting "bunny Milt" Translation: strawberry milk. Gosh how I miss those days.

She has grown from a beautiful curly haired baby girl, to a beautiful straight haired pre-teen. I can remember the day I met her, 3 weeks early and scared to death of becoming a MOMMY. But yet SO excited at the same time. Then at 4:15 pm there she was in all her pink princess glory. Beautiful and healthy. I knew at that very minute they put her in my arms that being a MOMMY to this little girl was what GOD put me on this earth to do. We've had some rocky hard times, but I WOULDN'T CHANGE ONE THING.

Happy Birthday Ashley! I love you with all my HEART!!!

Happy New Year

Well we all survived another year. I'm looking forward to 2009 and all it has in store for me and my family. Hopefully we are blessed this year with good health, happiness, and love. I look forward to mending some old wounds, saving money and yes--loosing weight. I think I have left the "baby weight" on too long. lol. Hope everyone had a safe New Year's Eve. I have to confess that I did fall asleep on the couch last night before midnight. Ashley would say "Mom, are you awake?" My reply was "yeah, I'm awake, quit asking me every 5 min." lol But regardless of if we were awake or asleep, 2009 is here anyway!!!!
