Domino's new Do!

Just a quick peek at my little Domi. He finally got a hair do today. Long over due. Any of you who have seen him lately know that he was pretty shaggy and could hardly see through all the fur. He got a nice shave and smells like coconut. Yum! Maybe he'll sleep with me tonight! LOL

One and a Half Men

My two men! Aren't they cute? Charlie is such a Daddy's boy. And he has a WONDERFUL daddy. They sit together like this almost every night. They look so much alike don't they? I just couldn't help but show off my two men. I'm so lucky to have them!

Favorite Thing Thursdays: Heavenly

Better late than never! This is one of my favorite fragrances. It is Heavenly from Victoria Secret. I love the fresh clean smell. Stop buy and try a trial spray when you are at the Mall. (And pick me up a bottle while you're there!)

PRAY for FRECKLES

Most of you know my sweet Freckles has a back condition. Well, she is feeling under the weather and we are hoping her back will not completely go out like last time. She got a refill on her meds today. I'm not sure I can make it through another "paralysis" I can't bare to watch her suffer like that again. I'm not sure I have tears left after the last one! Wish us luck that this time will be a mild "attack". You know how I love my little weenie!

Happy EARLY Birthday to ME!

My husband is so GREAT. He bought me a new camera today as my early b-day present. He knew how bad I needed an up to date camera to use for my blog and my scrap booking. He did a lot of research and asked people for recommendations as well, and got me a PINK one too. He knows how I love my PINK! Thank you HONEY. I love my new camera. Can't wait to try it out.

Worlds smallest vaccum

Have no fear Zoey is here! Everyone knows how messy meal times can get right? Well, this little dog helps get rid of even the messiest mess. Just call her in and the big mess is gone. All I have to do then is wipe down the chair and tray with a rag and cleaner and we are ready for the next meal.

OREO Cookie Cake

This is a recipe I got off of allrecipes.com. This is my first time to make it, and I LOVE IT! It is very easy. (The kind I like!)

* 24-OREOS (crushed)
* 1/3 c. semi sweet chocolate chips
* 1/3 c. flour
* 1/4 c. margarine (softened)
* 1 butter cake mix (chocolate or Yellow) I used Yellow.
* 1 c. powdered sugar
* Approx 3 tbsp. milk

preheat oven to 350
spray 9x13 pan with PAM

Combine chopped cookies, chocolate chips,flour and margarine
(set aside)
Mix cake according to directions

Pour 1/2 of the make mix into pan
Sprinkle 1/2 of the cookie mixture on top
Pour rest of the cake mix into pan
Sprinkle remaining cookie mixture on top

Bake for 40-45 min

Glaze: 1c. powdered sugar
2-3 tbsp of milk. (I used a little more to make my glaze a little thinner)

Drizzle glaze over cake when it comes out of the oven.

ENJOY!

Boy Ashley will sure LOVE me today after school. lol

First day of School

I NEVER cry on the first day of school. Not even on the first day of kindergarten! But driving away from school this am I did start to tear up for some reason. Maybe it is because every year with the exception of last year Ashley has had to go to daycare during the summer. Lord knows last year was crazy with Charlie being sick etc. This was really the first summer we had a fun laid back time. Sleeping in staying up late etc. I will sure miss my LITTLE BUDDY now that school is starting and we won't have as much time to spend together! She is growing up to fast.

But on a happier note, she was so excited for school to start today. She had on her new clothes and new shoes. That along with her new haircut, she was a new girl. Here's to a new year!!!!

Shout Out To Luci!

This is such a yummy "salad" and it is super easy. My friend luci brings it to dinners, and I look forward to it. I thought I would share it. Even Henry likes it and you know he doesn't eat many veggies.


* 1 bag of broccoli slaw
* ranch dressing
* bacon pieces

Just dump the slaw in a container, sprinkle with bacon pieces (to your liking), and pour ranch dressing to cover and mix. Pop it in the frige. I like it when it has set overnight. It is a little more "combined" and soft. I sometimes have to add a little more ranch before serving it just to remoisten it.

This is so good! I'm actually having some for Dinner tonight. YUM YUM

38 Years and going strong. Sorry I didn't give ya'll a party this year. It kind of snuck up on me this time. Happy Anniversary MOM and DAD, I love you both so very much, and I'm so lucky to have THE BEST PARENTS IN THE WORLD.

Favorite Thing Thursdays: Spray Way

I really love using this glass cleaner. It is what my MOM starting using many years ago too. It works well on my glass cook top. It sprays out like a foam, not a liquid so it doesn't run as bad on mirrors or glass doors. Windex always runs as soon as I spray it. Give it a try next time you're buying cleaning supplies.

Freckles the suntanning dog!

My Sweet Freck how she loves to relax after a long day of digging in the mud.
Doesn't she remind you of a pot belly pig! She loves to lay in the warm sun. Her fur gets so toasty.

I NEED FOOD

This clip could speak for itself, but I'll give you a little history. This boy can eat! He is total opposite from Ashley. She eats about 10 different things and that's it. He on the other hand will eat anything you put in his mouth. (EVEN AN OCCASIONAL BIT OF DOG FOOD!) He licks his lips and starts smacking when it's time to eat, but when it's gone.... .......See for yourself!

Recipe Tuesday: Taco Soup

I like to cook, but I don't want to spend all night making supper for my family. This is the world's most easy recipe. You can make several variations as well.

* 1-2 lbs. hamburger meat
* 1 can corn
* 1 can rotel mild, medium. or HOT (which ever you like)
* 1 can of ranch beans

Brown your hamburger and add the rest to the pot. (Juice and all)
Now is that easy or what! It is a one pot wonder for sure.

I have changed this up several ways.
You can add a can of pepper jack cheese soup
You can substitute the corn for hominy
You can use chicken instead of beef

Also you can make it a thinner soup by adding beef or chicken stock.
We like it thicker and more like a chili.
Serve it over crushed tortilla chips, top with cheese and sour cream if desired and enjoy!

My Sleeping Fur Baby!

I don't like my dogs to lay on the beds, but I have a soft spot in my heart for this little girl. She was my first FUR BABY and the love of my live. How could I make her move when she looked so cozy and beautiful. She is so tiny she can lay just about anywhere.

Double Trouble

Cambry and Ashley always have such a good time when they are together. They just play and keep each other entertained for hours. Sometimes I don't even know they are here! But tonight my word are they loud! They decided to try their hand in making pottery. (LITERALLY!!!!) I think they have found a new passion in life. Pottery making seems to be a new found passion. They want to buy more clay and continue their new hobby. Well here are some pictures to show their new found passion of messy pottery.

Step Brothers

Henry and I had a date night tonight!!! We went to see the CRUDE Step Brothers and man was it FUNNY! It is very CRUDE though. I think everything Will Ferrell is in is funny. If you haven't seen it is is worth the 8 dollars for a good laugh. This may be one I'll have to buy when it comes out!

Bath Time Fun!

I had NO IDEA that my camera did video. Yes I have had it for about 4 years. It needs an upgrade, but I LOVE DIGITAL! Hope you enjoy. He was laughing very hard before I got the camera. (Why don't they keep it up with the camera rolling?) He's so precious and loves a good bath.

Just for Jerilynn

I forgot I had a bag of these great inventions in my fridge. We found these at Wal-Mart. Charlie loves them and they work great to make Pigs in a Blanket too. Just the right size to roll in 1/2 a triangle of crescent roll. Jerilynn has not been able to find them, but here is the proof that they do exist. I may have one for a little pre lunch snack! Yummmmmmy!

My new Read: Don't Laugh

YES YES I did buy it and so far I am really enjoying it. I have watched her "REALITY" show since it started, and I must say I LOVE IT. I have never been like a major Tori Spelling Fan. I watched 90210 every episode without fail, but not for her personally, I just loved the show. Now I record Home sweet Hollywood every week. Her little boy is very cute and he is just about Charlie's age. So if you are ever sitting around with nothing to do, turn the TV on The OXYGEN channel and I'm sure you can catch a re-run or a Tori and Dean Marathon. (THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!!!!)

FINALLY my GIRL is COMING home!

Today is the day! Ashley is finally coming home. She has been gone for 4 days and I miss her terribly. I don't like her to be gone more than 1 or 2 days max. It gets way too quiet in the house, especially when Henry is at work. I am anxiously awaiting her arrival today.

Favorite Thing Thursday: NETFLIX

Yes we are behind the times when it comes to this. I'm sure everyone in the U.S. gets little red envelopes in their mailbox every week. We joined Netflix 2 months ago and we love it. NO LATE FEES!!!! That is really good for us. (and by US I refer to Henry!) We always had late fees at Hastings, because Henry can't return a movie if he hasn't watched it. I understand, it is a waste of money. Well now we can keep them as long as we want. What a great invention!

Mama Mia!

I went to see Mama Mia with my Mom last night. She wanted to see it and of coarse my Dad din't care to. I wanted to see it and Henry sure didn't want to either! We LOVED it! It was so much fun listening to the music and watching the dancing. It brought me back to my TRASH DISCO days at the CLUB HOUSE (another story that we won't discuss!) I recommend you seeing it if you haven't, we had a toe tappin good time.

Chrunch Berry Face

Ok I can only do one more post today! I have a ton of stuff to do, but I had to post this one of my CHRUNCH BERRY BABY! He ONLY likes the crunch berries. He had them for a mid morning snack. (we all know how he loves his food!!!) He had the smeared all over his hands, face and clothes. What a mess. (BUT A CUTE ONE HUH!)

Look who is WALKING and MESSING!

Yes- FINALLY he is mobile. Yes I am referring to my baby boy, CHARLIE. He is so happy to be able to get around the house so quickly too. He is very curious as well. Oh my LORD is he into everything. Way different than his big sister who didn't get into things much. He thanks that NO means "GO AHEAD PLAY WITH THE CLEANER"! We bought child locks for the kitchen cabinets which I hate. I hate trying to open the cabinet and having to push the little deal down etc. You catch my drift. Any way here are a few picks of the mess pot in action.

Recipe Tuesday: Lemon Pecan Cookies

This is a VERY simple recipe that I use when i'm in the mood for a sweet treat and want minimal work.
- a box of lemon cake mix
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup of vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup of chopped pecans

Mix all of the ingredients together. (I use my stand mixer because this is a thick batter)
Spoon them on a baking sheet and bake at 350 for about 13 min.
(I sometimes use mini muffin tins and fill them 1/2 full and bake them for 13 min. for a thicker cake like cookie.)
You can change these up anyway you like.
Variations can include:
chocolate cake mix with peanutbutter chips
yellow cake with m&m's
chocolate cake with andes candy pieces (YUMMMMM)
Just use any variation you and your family enjoys.

Skimming through my computer I came across this picture of Ashley that I think is great. She is growing up so fast and changing every day. So, here is my random picture for today, my cute girl.

My favorite salad

If you haven't tried this you really must. Every time we go to Applebee's I have to get this salad. I even had the night I went into labor with Charlie. It is their oriental chicken salad, and it is so delicious. It had oriental noodles, toasted almonds, and I get mine with fried chicken pieces. It is served with a sweet creamy salad dressing. If your in the mood for a yummy salad and don't know where to go, get this you will love it.

Texas

Thanks to Jerilynn for getting us tickets to Texas on Thursday. For those who do not know, my niece in in the play this year. She did such a great job, and the Play was GREAT! We really enjoyed it and look forward to seeing it again next season. If your looking for a fun summer activity, I highly recommend seeing it.

Workin' Man

Here is a little look at Henry at work. This is just some of what he has to deal with on a regular day. Rain, snow or shine if it is broken he and his guys will fix it. He works hard and loves what he does. If it weren't for him I would not get to stay at home and take care of my kids. Thanks Honey for all your hard work there, and at home. I love you!

Our Extended Family

In addition to the 4 humans in our home, we have 3 canine family members as well. I am such an animal lover, I would have more, but Henry helps keep me "grounded". We have Zoey that we adopted from the pound. Someone dropped her momma off in the night drop the night she gave birth to Zoey and her brother. She is a little cantankerous, but she is a really neat dog. The next addition to our family was Domino, the shi tzu, we got him from a friend of mine who breeds them. He is a great dog, probably the best of the bunch. He is so gentle with the kids. Charlie can pull his hair and he will just lay there and take it. He is a sweet companion. The last we added to our clan was Freckles, the weenie dog. She was given to us from my brothers family and I fell in love with her. She is about 9 years old and has a back condition that at one point I thought would leave her paralized, but she healed nicely. All our our animals are so different in personality, but are love dearly by our family.

Favorite Thing Thursdays

Anyone who knows me knows I LOVE DISNEY WORLD. I was fortunate enough to take ashley and my mom back in 2005 for a 7 days. It was awsome. We did so much but I don't think anyone can actually do it all! That is why we must go back when Charlie is a Little older and relive the experience. The food was wonderful and it was like stepping into a farytale. I realized you don't have to be a kid to love Disney, you can be any age!

To Have And To Hold

Two years ago today we said "I do". It is hard to believe that it has been 2 years since Henry and I married. So much has happened since then. We have sold a house, bought a house, had a baby, and been through medical scares and surgery. I often tell Henry I wish we hadn't wasted so much of our lives before becoming husband and wife. I guess I have to remember that it was not up to us, it was all part of the plan that we had no control of. I can't imagine not having Henry in my life, nor do I want to. I have married my best friend of 16 or so years, and that is the best kind of person to have by your side for the rest of your life. I love you Henry. Happy Anniversary.
